I TOTALLY messed up.i tried to tweak the url i think in the wordpress directory.i then decided i would start from scratch.i tried to delete some wp-files in my cpanel.that was it.i now made all of my sites(4)offline.to tell the truth i think i deleted my home directory.i am depressed.my hosting company seems stuck.(namecheap).any sort of suggestions would be appreciated.
You can always fix a path issue via phpmyadmin. The first thing to check is if your databases are intact. If so, you just need to upload WordPress to your site locations and then find out the DB names, usernames and passwords. If you don’t have them create a new user/pass to assign to DB. Then edit the wp-config.php file with that database info.. and voila.. all your sites are restored.
If you deleted the databases and neither you or your host has a backup.. You’re screwed. If you’re sites were indexed in Google, sometimes if you get lucky you can view the cache and copy all our text content before Google reindexes the site.
thank you will try.i will respond back the results.
